Inside, the cabin is warm, simple and intentional — a cosy retreat after a day of exploring. Outside, an elevated chill net and an outdoor bathtub invite you to relax under open skies, surrounded by fresh mountain air and complete privacy. Every detail encourages rest, reconnection and calm.

The cabins are thoughtfully positioned to minimise environmental impact, preserving waterfalls, mountain views and indigenous vegetation. Shared facilities — including a communal living and dining space, wood-fired pizza oven, swimming pool and open grass areas — reduce excess consumption and encourage connection. Walking trails follow existing natural paths, allowing you to experience the landscape responsibly.

This A-frame is more than a place to stay — it’s a secluded mountain sanctuary where comfort, stillness and nature exist in quiet balance.
Our accommodation consists of three private cabins, all nestled on a single piece of land at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, in the small village of Suurbraak. Thoughtfully spaced for privacy, each cabin offers its own quiet retreat while remaining part of the same natural setting.

Surrounded by indigenous vegetation, the property is filled with the soothing sounds of nearby waterfalls, birdsong and the gentle rustling of trees. The layout allows guests to feel immersed in nature while enjoying a sense of seclusion, making it ideal for rest, reconnection and slow living.

Our off-grid mountain retreat is designed to operate in harmony with its natural surroundings. The three cabins, accommodating up to 10 guests in total, are fully solar powered, significantly reducing reliance on non-renewable energy sources. Guests are encouraged to use energy and the fresh mountain water mindfully as part of the off-grid experience.

The cabins are thoughtfully designed to blend into the landscape and minimise environmental impact. Natural features such as nearby waterfalls, mountain views and indigenous vegetation are preserved and protected. Outdoor bathtubs allow guests to enjoy nature.

Communal facilities — including a communal living and dining area, wood-fired pizza oven, swimming pool and open grass areas — promote shared resources and reduce excess consumption. Walking and hiking trails follow existing natural paths to limit disturbance to the land.

By offering a peaceful retreat at the foot of the mountains, we aim to encourage slower, more sustainable travel that fosters a deeper connection with nature while respecting and protecting the environment.
